My Background

I'm concluding my fourth and final year of my undergraduate degree in Journalism at Sacramento State University. During my time at Sac State, I've taken courses that reinforce the habits of a good journalist, objective storyteller and news consumer. During my fourth year I reported on Sac State Women's Basketball, being the sole reporter for the team. I hold professional relationships with players and coaches, regularly attending practices to build an understanding about how the team worked. I attended 2-3 practcies per week. I also traveled for games and tournaments, driving on my own accord to Riverside, San Francisco, Stockton and Boise, Idaho. From reading professional journalists I realized the importance of emerging yourself into the beat learning that a beat can be changed but one's dedication should be consistent.
